Windows Messenger is the instant messaging program that comes as part of the installation of Windows XP. It is run with Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express and each time you start up Windows. You can disable Windows Messenger from running automatically when you start these programs, but you can also uninstall Windows Messenger completely if you find that you do not need it nor want it on your computer.
