All The Wellness Products We Tried & Loved In December

The wellness team at Refinery29 gets to try a ton of really great stuff. So we decided to start highlighting some our favorite products each month — the things that were so useful or so cool, we just couldn't stop using them.

During the festive month of December, we were focused on staying as calm and balanced as possible, which may be why our exercise was a common theme in our picks (endorphins, we need you!). Scroll through for the wellness products that have been making our lives better all December long.

At Refinery29, we’re here to help you navigate this overwhelming world of stuff. All of our market picks are independently selected and curated by the editorial team. If you buy something we link to on our site, Refinery29 may earn commission.

Stadler Form Eva Humidifier

"If it weren't for humidifiers, my nose would be bleeding all winter long. This is my favorite one (and I've tried a lot). You can set it to keep the room at a certain humidity level. It puts out warm or cool mist. You can add some essential oils. It doesn't get moldy quickly, and when it does it's easy to clean. It lasts forever. I've been using this model for around seven years, and just last year I purchased my second one." — Mirel Zaman, senior wellness editor

Allbirds Tree Dashers

"I demand a lot from my running shoes, and to be honest I wasn't expecting Allbirds to step up. I prefer shoes from running-specific brands. I was pleasantly surprised. The Dashers are very light but supportive, and oh my gosh they're so comfortable." — MZ

Alo Yoga Warrior Mat

"I have used many, many yoga mats in my day, and this one is my favorite. It's heavy (so it doesn't slide around while I'm working out), it's cushioned (to protect my arms during up-downs), it's easy to clean, and while it's expensive, it's super-durable. The one I have is just solid black, with a discreet logo — chic, even if I'm just using it at home." — MZ

The North Face Women's Thermoball Active Jacket

"In the summer and fall, I tend to mix it up when it comes to my running gear — I’ll wear any old T-shirt or base layer. But the more the temperatures start to drop, the pickier I become. In fact, I’ll only wear running jackets from The North Face, as I’ve found they’re the warmest and the best bet in inclement conditions. I consistently toggle between two weather-proof picks from the brand, one of which I’ve had for six years. It’s so reliable and I’m so loyal to it that when the zipper started sticking last year, I went out of my way to find a tailor who could fix it. Then there's the Thermoball jacket, which is super insulated, with a "warmth equivalent to 600 fill goose down," according to the brand. Plus, it's cute AF." — Molly Longman, health and wellness writer

Brooks Ghost 13

"Although I've tried plenty of running shoes from a range of different brands over the years, I always come back to my Brooks. I wore them for my first half marathon in 2013, and last year my Ghost 12s got me through my second full marathon. The 13 is the newest generation of the classic Ghost, which offers tons of cushioning and support for distance runners (especially troubled ones like me who periodically have knee issues). I've been breaking mine in on quarantine runs, and I haven't been disappointed by their cloud-like support." — ML

ban.do Take It Easy Rainbow Bath Pillow

"Who knew a $15 blow-up pillow could bring so much joy into my life? Apparently, my dear friend Melanie, who got me this as an early Secret Santa present. From the day I used all my lung power to bring it to life, it has exponentially improved my bath time experience. It makes reading and meditating in the tub so much more comfy, and, honestly, just looking at it makes me smile." — ML

Balance Athletica Tenacity Pant

"I own a lot of pairs of basic black leggings. But when I find a pair I really love, I'll wear them to death — and that's exactly what I've been doing with these ones from Balance Athletica. They're made out of great material, don't sag down mid-workout (or ever), and look cute if you're just going out for a quick coffee run. 10/10 would recommend." — Elizabeth Gulino, health and wellness writer

Modern Fertility Hormone Test

"I'm 24, so I haven't put a lot of thought into my future family quite yet. But when I was given the chance to have my hormones tested and check out my ovarian reserve (how many eggs are left in my ovaries) I thought, why not? The test was simple and easy to use, and I received my results in about 10 days. Although I'm still nowhere near ready for a family of my own yet, I still feel at peace knowing exactly what's going on with my body so I can start planning for the future." — EG

Lord Jones Whole Plant Formula CBD Lip Balm

"In the winter, everything about me is dry. My hair, my face, and obviously, my lips. CBD lip balm sounds kind of crazy, but trust me on this one — it's been my saving grace as the cold winter begins." — EG
